30 years ago TJ and Rita Reasons bought the ranch with nothing more than a barn on the property. Along the way they built it from the ground up. TJ passed away in 2014 and Rita kept their dream alive with her income and the help of her wonderful family, friends and volunteers. Tireless hours were put into keeping it up. As the years passed, she saw the need for all neglected animals to have a safe haven to call home. In January of 2018 she was granted her non-profit certification. The need is great for ALL animals, Reasons Rescue Ranch provides a loving and safe sanctuary for these animals to either live out their lives or to be placed in a fantastic home. Her dream of providing forever homes for these animals is being realized with the help of hard-working volunteers and the support of generous people who donate what they can for this cause. Any and all donations go right back to the animals. Our goal at Reasons Rescue Ranch is for no animal to be left behind or to ever suffer again.

Meet RIVER our newest Rescue! River has been living alone in a pasture for 3 years with little human contact other than having hay thrown to her. Because of the rich grass she foundered, but is now at the ranch and was immediately given expert farrier care.
Rita's love and your donations of food, money, and meds saved these 5 kittens found starving and sick under a bush.
Just like humans, once you reach a certain age you are allowed to retire and enjoy life how you please. Our older horses have fulfilled their duty in life and now they are able to enjoy rest and peacefulness. Reasons Rescue Ranch is devoted to all animals and their right to enjoy their golden years.

Spot
Spot came to the rescue ranch along with her best friend Moses in 2017. Their owner didn't have the means to care for them any longer. Spot was 30 years old when she took a fall and broke her leg. After many visits from the vet and splinting the leg, we had high hopes she would recover, her progress was impressive for her age. When the day came that the splint was removed, we started therapy with her. Spot was doing well until she had another fall while in her stall at night. Unfortunately after that fall she started regressing and was unable to heal. Spot had to be Euthanized on August 7, 2018. Although she was only at the ranch for a short time she stole our hearts and will forever be missed.
